Pattaya is known internationally for its vivacious nightlife. Relax on the beaches in Pattaya by day, and experience the dynamic nightlife once the sun sets. Whether you’re retiring to Thailand, moving to Pattaya, or just visiting on holiday, we’ve put together a list of some great things to see and do during your nights in the city.
Walking Street: Starting from 18:00 every night a half-kilometer of Pattaya’s beachside street is closed off to traffic, open to pedestrians only, which is where its name comes from. The neon signs of the variety of bars, nightclubs, and go-go bars found in the area light up the entire street; it’s like one giant party. If you’re not into the club scene, take a walk along the street and enjoy some delicious Thai street food! Although some areas of Pattaya’s nightlife are suitable for children, this is definitely not one of them as you will see scantily-clad women walking and dancing along the street.
Cabaret shows: If you’re looking for a fun nightlife activity in Pattaya that the whole family will enjoy, grab some tickets to a cabaret show! Shows put on by places like Tiffany’s Show or Alcazar are full of amazing theatrical performances that adults and children of all ages will enjoy. These cabaret shows feature ladyboys dressed in glitzy costumes dancing and singing, with a bit of humor. These shows are not to be missed!
Rooftop bars and restaurants: See Pattaya from a whole new perspective, atop some of Pattaya’s high-rise buildings. These bars and restaurants, many of which are open-air, are the perfect place to watch the sunset over the city horizon. Unlike the bars you’ll find on Walking Street, these are more sophisticated and have a peaceful vibe; a great place to relax and enjoy the company of those around you. One of the most popular places is the Horizon Restaurant & Bar above the Hilton Pattaya Hotel.
